Our market began in the parking lot at the Spout Springs Library in 2011. We grew so much we had to move to the lawn behind the train depot in downtown Flowery Branch.
For the next five years we were nestled behind the historic train depot. The shady lawn provided a perfect place to grow our market and get to know downtown.
In 2020 our market moved to Pine Street due to construction on the city's massive redevelopment plan. The 2021 season will be held on the lawn at City Hall.
The Farmers Market is a big part of the City of Flowery Branch's major downtown revitalization and redevelopment project. Soon you'll be able to stroll to the market along this charming alley with seating for enjoy meals alfresco and twinkling lights.
Our new Farmers Market Shed opens December 18th with Flowery Branch's Christmas Block Party. The Shed will be the permanent cover for our vendors. We can keep cool under the ceiling fans and also have events after dark thanks to overhead lighting. This project also provides vendor parking and adds to paved parking for customers.
Connecting Main Street to City Hall, Church Street is getting a makeover. By removing the curbs (Woonerf) and creating a pocket park at the corner, we'll have additional vendor and festival space for downtown events. We see some amazing farm to table dinners happening in this area next spring and summer.
